Cupcake Tree - Mior Asri and Norliyana's Wedding

It's been quite sometime I did not drive long distance ALONE. My nephew's wedding was held on the weekend and coincided with the year end school holidays and as usual it's raining season in December. So based on my experience and all these variables, the traffic on the highway will be reasonably heavy. The distance from my house, Shah Alam to Parit Buntar is around 300 kilometers, that is estimated around 3.5 hours drive.

I had to pack all the 500 pieces of small cupcakes into a few boxes so it will fit nicely into my cute little Kelisa and I have to ensure these boxes does not move from side to side. After putting all these boxes nicely I realized the boards for the cupcake tree were not in the car.....oh my, I had to rearrange all the boxes again to fit these boards in the car...another 30 minutes of rearranging.

By 6 pm I started my journey, 10 minutes later it stated to drizzle, drizzle and drizzle........slowly getting heavy and heavier......drizzle,  drizzle.... heavy ... drizzle...... for the next 4 hours!!. My car screen wiper worked extra hard to wade the rain water.

I have three brothers, who, should I say, they were rather "worried" when they knew I drove alone at night in an unfavorable weather. They called, text messages several times just to know where am I... to an extent I'm started getting annoyed or rather irritated.......why can't I just report to one person and they shared the news!!!!......Nevertheless, I enjoyed my journey and I reached the destination by 10 pm on the dot, even though I lost my way just 500 meters before reaching my brother's house.

This hantaran actually was Shazwani’s idea. She wanted red velvet mini cake, with white fondant adorned with white roses on the top.

 

I really encourage my client to give ideas on how they wanted their cake to be.

Cupcake Tree

 

This cupcake tree can hold 200 pieces of medium size cupcake with individual container. The decorations of the cupcake tree have to be in line with the theme, traditional, green and white.

These were another group of photos I misplaced and accidently found it.

The client ordered 200 pieces small cupcakes and the cupcakes were arranged on a small cupcake tree. This small cupcake tree can accommodate around 80 pieces of cupcake.

The cupcake tree was placed on the dessert table and it was the centre of attraction especially the children.

For a one year old baby girl……the gown was the cake. It was a black forest cake, chocolate sponge layered with fresh cream and black cherries.

Engagement cakes

Since its a season to get engaged, I've decided to feature today's post about some engagement parties that we've done these past month. The picture above is taken during one of our regular customers engagement. Emma and her fiance has requested to have cupcakes with cupcake tree feature at the event. Assortments of design is done and she has requested for Vanila and Chocolate Cuppies in Medium Size. Its not necessary to have those 2 flavour, u can request for other flavours as well by just enquiring with us.

¨ Engagement Cakes - We also do hantarans!

Fondant cake – suitable if need to travel far…….does not need refrigeration however we need at least 2 weeks notice. Usually we do coconut cake or fruit cake.

Have to specify the size of the cake, example most of the cakes were 8 inches in diameter …..it will fit the “hantaran “ tray (semerit).

Price of an 8 inches round fondant cake will be at a range of RM 80 to RM 150, depends on the complexity of the designs.

Chocolate Ganache - Can last one day without refrigeration; however the chocolate might melt if in a warm area or direct sunlight.

Butter cream - Not suitable for long distance. But ok if 2 hours ride. We will pack in a proper packaging.

Annual Christmas Gathering at Uncle Ben & Uncle Johar.

¨ Uncle Ben and Uncle Johar are Auntie Habsah’s best friends and every year they will hold an annual Christmas lunch for Uncle Ben....Their friendship span around 20 years.

¨ As usual Uncle Johar will bake the turkey for 3-4 hours. The last time I tasted the turkey when I was in Form 5. Seriously, that turkey was delish!!!!!! Sinfull, if u know what i mean =). I missed the event and especially the turkey coz I was on vacation ….sob, sob…sedap siut! Uncle Johar’s turkey is very tasty, especially the stuffing, his own recipes that cater for Malaysian taste buds. Uncle Johar le tukang masaknye =)

¨ It was a potluck event, so my aunt contributed her cupcakes and a ½ kilo coconut cake covered with white fondant.

Farewell cuppies for 2 guys who love Hello Kitty =) 80 pieces of medium size of chocolate, vanilla and orange. The “EAR” for the kitties are made of wafer…..very difficult to cut into triangular coz the wafer is so crispy and fragile…but somehow, jadilah jugak telinga kucing ni =) boxed in 4 for easy refrigaration.

Mini-version of cupcake tree, can acomodate about 70 small size cuppies for that small functions at home or office. Cupcake tree can be rented. Call Habsah for more information regarding our different sizes of cupcake tree =)

Important announcement!!

Starting from today till the 3rd of January 2008, the delivery girl, Shai will not be able to deliver any cupcakes because she will be having exams and after that will go off on her holidays. Any orders should be made directly to Habsah during these period. Home deliveries will only be made for bulk orders more than 200 pieces cupcakes for functions (extra charge will be imposed). Preferably, arrangements for pick-up can be arrange at certain locations where we can give them at arm's length.

If the transaction of orders is made using email (AFTER you call Habsah, not before, email address will be given during the phone call) , the delivery time and price will be as per stated on the email. It is very important for customers to stick to the timing of the deliveries. Early pickup (example: 3 hours earlier than what is agreed in the email) is a no-no as we have already timed the baking so that you'll get the ingredient fresh and complete. This might distract the baker thus the end result will not be as per ordered. Any changes on the timing, please do so 48 hours before the time of delivery.

We are in the midst of making our price list for 2008 thus please be patient, i still can't figure out how to post a pdf list here. So sorry, takda bakat IT lah katakan hihi.

2) Enquire on the DATE and TIME that you want the cupcakes, subject to availability (to avoid dissappointments, please book early)
3) Once you have your date booked, state your flavours, size and quantity. We will be happy to discuss with you if you have specific flavor in mind =)
4) Order confirmed =)
5) Payments can be made through bank accounts (cakes and orders exceeding 80 pieces of cupcakes) or cash on deliveries (only applicable to orders below 80 pieces of cupcakes)



As 2008 approaching, we understand its a special year for weddings and baby showers. We have received a lot of enquiries for hantaran or favors for wedding for next year, thus dates for February (until the 16th 2008) and August 8/8/2008 through 10/8/2008 is fully booked. =)

Cakes for events!

So sorry because i've not been updating this blog for a while. My mom 'borrowed' my laptop hence i had to resort calming my "internet-withdrawal" simptoms by going to cyber-cafes. Can't do much updating tho coz all my pictures were in the laptop...hence...no updates =)

Waiting for a new 'baby' to come. Then i can write-off this old 10 kg piece of antique laptop hihihi =p

Anyway, lately we've been getting a lot of orders for LOTS AND LOTS of CUPCAKES to be served in functions and we just can't thank you enough for your support! Instead of serving em on a table, we have constructed a Cupcake Tree!

The number of tiers can be added or reduce depending on the number of cupcakes to be displayed. As per the above picture, there were about 150-200 small size cupcakes.

The trimmings for the tree can be change according to the occasion.

Cupcake tree are NOT-FOR-SALE, it can be rented for a small charge. For orders exceeding 100 cupcakes, please make your orders at least 1 week before the actual event.

The cupcakes shown above is about 300 pieces of small size cupcakes. Because of the different flavours, and the client wants simplicity for the design, we only use minimal icing on top of it. For Red Velvets, we used cream cheese to bring out the flavour.
